So you're hosting a kids party and you have to keep everyone entertained? gulp. Don’t worry. We’ve put together some fab group games to break the ice, get everyone having fun and even some to keep everyone busy and quiet (ish).

By louise porter your baby is about to celebrate their first birthday – congratulations, you made it through one whole year of parenting which is no mean feat! now it is time to plan the big bash and you will want a day to remember. Sure your little one won’t actually remember the day but you and all the other guests will. Plus there will be all the photos for your child to look back on when they get older. But deciding on the type of party to throw your one-year-old can actually prove quite difficult. You won’t want to spend a fortune on a party that your baby could probably care less about but you still want to make it fun and memorable.

9. When I grow up.

When my first daughter was turning one, i wanted to celebrate her initial trip around the sun at our favorite place in the world: our home in upstate new york. (let's be honest, i was also itching to throw a party for friends and family, and enjoy the stunning foliage that peaks during the iconic fall season. ) in lieu of a traditional christening, this was also an excuse to gather loved ones far and wide, and bless our sienna jane with a prayer and reading by my father. Originally, i had envisioned a late-afternoon gathering that catered to both kids and grown-ups, and would allow for family interaction and classic outdoor games.

What better way to celebrate your birthday than to take your friends along to the irish dance party. We have been one of dublin’s top afternoon activities for over a decade and we guarantee to get everybody singing, dancing and having a good time; as well as giving special attention to birthday boy or girl! the irish dance party is one of dublin’s best loved experiences. You will be taught some simple irish dancing steps by friendly, world class, award winning irish dancers. 19. Let freedom ring.

Outdoor parties are always a blast. You get to enjoy the fresh air, space and freedom of an outside event with your friends or family members. Plus there’s no such thing as bad weather (mostly ;0) – just wear waterproofs so you can get muddy together. See below for some ideas this autumn and winter in sligo. Smores and walks in the woods. 23. Happy New Year

Splash about and have loads of fun in our on-site swimming pool. Once everyone has dried off, a delicious two-course lunch will be served in our restaurant. The kids enjoy an hour of supervised play in the pool with a dedicated lifeguard present from 3-4 pm we will serve a delicious two-course lunch in a reserved section of the restaurant along with jugs of fruit squash after your swim maximum of 10 children allowed all swimmers must be over the age of 9 years old and be competent swimmers if you’d like to bring your own cake, we are happy to store this in our fridges and serve after your lunch.
